Volunteers are seldom paid; not because they are worthless, but because they are PRICELESS!

Volunteering
at Child & Family Services provides opportunities for personal achievement, allows volunteers to make new discoveries
about themselves and others, and enables them to feel they are forming social bonds and strengthening their community. Because
our volunteers get appropriate training, feedback and recognition - our volunteers feel energized by each assignment; they
see it as fun to do and complete it feeling better than when they started. Here are some volunteer opportunities. Call our
Volunteer Coordinator today at 269-925-1725.
Friendly Volunteer Visitor for Seniors
Description:
Help bring a smile
to the face of a senior living in an area nursing home or adult foster home. Some of our elders are the sole survivor in their
family; others have no family living close enough to visit. Both groups of seniors are socially isolated and too often lonely.
If you can spare at least 30 minutes on a regular basis, we’d love to talk to you about this real need in the life of
local seniors. Nothing can replace the gift of one-on-one caring conversation and companionship…it enhances the human
experience. You too can make a difference in the life of a senior today!
